COSPAR International Reference Atmosphere (CIRA-86)

The CIRA-86 data are zonally averaged monthly mean climatologies of several amospheric parameters. The following zonal mean parameters are available on a 5 degree latitude by 0.25 log-pressure scale height grid.

  • Temperature
  • Zonal wind
  • Geopotential height

The following zonal mean parameters are also available on a 10 degree latitude by 5 km altitude grid.

  • Temperature
  • Zonal wind
  • Pressure

Data are available on the ftp server at /sparc/ref_clim/fleming. Refer to the README file for more information.
