Remember that Boulder is at 5400 ft (1624 meters), and the Mesa Lab is at 6184 ft (1885 meters). When coming from sea level, it is important to stay hydrated! If you go hiking in the mountains, be cognizant of altitude sickness.

It is about 10-15 minute drive from these hotels to the NCAR Mesa Laboratory location.  Depending on availability, the government rate is $159.00.

Transport

We are currently checking options for transport to the Mesa lab.

Ground Transportation from/to Denver International Airport

GreenRide Boulder: Our outbound Shuttles from DIA load on Level 5 (Main Level/ Baggage Claim Level) between Doors 507 and 509, Island 5, beneath the “Special Permit” signs. This is on the East (BLUE) side of the Terminal. Door 507 is next to baggage carousel #3. If you have a confirmed reservation, you may proceed directly to our loading area.
We encourage reservations for our outbound service. Please arrive at our boarding area at 25 minutes after the hour to prepare for boarding. The GRB shuttle departs hourly at 35 minutes after the hour. We have a booth located inside the Terminal on the Level 5 to provide walk-up ticketing or assist you in any capacity.

Local Information

Boulder

Boulder is nestled in the foothills, where the rolling plains meet the Colorado Rocky Mountains. Centrally located near Denver, Denver International Airport, Eldora Ski Resort and Rocky Mountain National Park. Downtown Denver is just 35 minutes away.  A few hours from many of Colorado’s world-famous ski resorts, making Boulder the ideal Colorado destination.
